Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients

45 ml butter
45 ml flour
315 ml milk
2.5 ml paprika
5 ml mixed herbs
2.5 ml garlic salt
70 g LANCEWOOD® Mature Cheddar , grated
45 ml LANCEWOOD® Medium Fat Spring Onion & Chives Cream Cheese
60 ml water
3 large potato(es) , peeled & sliced

Method

Preheat your oven to 180°C and lightly grease a round baking tin. 

In a saucepan, melt the butter and whisk in the flour, making sure there are no lumps. 

Add the milk and whisk to combine. Add in all the spices and cheese. Stir well and make sure the cheese is melted through. 

Add in the cream cheese and use a whisk to smooth the sauce. Pour in the water to thin out the sauce. 

Arrange the potatoes a flower pattern around the baking tin. 

Pour the sauce over and bake in the oven for 45 minutes. Use a toothpick to check if the potatoes are cooked through. 

Allow to cool for 10 minutes and enjoy!
