Hot Cross Bun Inspired Overnight Oats

Ingredients

Oats: 

80 ml rolled oats
60 ml Safari dried fruit cake mix  or raisins and/or sultanas
1 ml mixed spice  (or a little more if you prefer it a little spicier) 
3 ml cinnamon
250 ml LANCEWOOD® Double Cream Plain Yoghurt  or Low Fat Plain Yoghurt 
60 ml milk

To serve: 

honey  or syrup
almonds  or pecans, chopped 
cranberries  or apricots, chopped
chocolate chips
chia seeds , pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds

Method

Mix oats, cake mix, mixed spice, cinnamon and yoghurt together in a serving bowl.

Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Add a bit of milk to get it to the preferred consistency.

Serve with honey or syrup, chopped nuts, chopped dried fruit, chocolate chips or seeds of your choice.

HINTS & TIPS: 

  • Stir in a tablespoon of peanut or almond butter.
  • Add a tablespoon of oat bran for extra fibre.
