Croque Madame & Monsieur Breakfast

Ingredients

Per Croque Monsieur:

2 slices bread  of your choice
5 ml Dijon mustard
60 ml LANCEWOOD Sauce Delightâ„¢ White Sauce
ham , 1 large slice
250 ml LANCEWOOD® 12 month Mature White Cheddar  or Cheddar, grated

Per Croque Madam:

Same ingredients as the per Croque Monsieur, but with an egg on top resembling a ladies’ hat

1 egg

Method

Per Croque Monsieur:
Place the bread on a baking sheet. Toast under the grill on the one side. Remove from oven. 

On the untoasted side - spread the mustard, followed by half of the white sauce. 

Top with half the cheese and then with a slice of ham.

Place the other slice of bread, toasted side down, on top.

Spread with the remaining white sauce and then sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.

Place under a heated grill and grill until golden, bubbly and the cheese is melted.

Per Croque Madame:
Follow the steps above. Fry an egg until done to your liking and place on top of the melted cheese.
