To serve:
Parboil the potatoes in salted boiling water until they just start to feel soft on the outside. Drain and leave to cool.
Using a large mixing bowl, grate the potatoes on the fine side of the grater.
Add the salt, garlic, onion powder, flour and cheese and mix to combine.
Divide mixture into 2 and shape each half into a long sausage (3 cm in diameter x 30 cm long). Place in the freezer for 30 minutes to firm.
Cut into 2.5 cm lengths and brush lightly with oil.
Air fryer:
Place in the basket and Air fry at 190°C for 8 minutes. Turn over and air fry for 5 more minutes.
Oven bake:
Preheat oven to 200°C and lightly grease a baking sheet.
Place the tater tots on the baking sheet and brush lightly with oil.
Bake for 10 – 15 minutes until golden. Flip over and bake for a further 10 minutes.
To serve:
Sprinkle bacon bits and chives on top.
Serve with your favourite DIP&TOPâ„¢, mayonnaise, tomato sauce and sweet chilli sauce.Â
